Marty Preston
Marty Preston is a Certified Mortgage Planner and Branch Manager with Benchmark Mortgage. Both his personal production team and his offices rank among the elite in the nation in virtually every statistical category originating over $200 million in loans and serving over 1000 families each year.

Their success is widely a result of their ability to provide WOW! service which is why almost 100% of their clients are by referral only. A big part of that WOW! has been their willingness to meet face to face with every client to ensure that the selected loan strategy is ideal and properly meets each family’s needs and circumstances. Their system for communicating throughout the process is unmatched as every client is made aware during their initial consultation of every document and every step necessary for a successful and stress-free closing. After that it only gets better as everyone receives a weekly update in writing of every action taken along with a real-time accounting of where the file is in process. Putting the cherry on top, every client receives a personalized reserved parking space, a customized mortgage plan, their top-ten written guarantees, an assorted offering of refreshments and even a customized umbrella if the weather isn’t cooperating when you are ready to leave. WOW!

Marty graduated from the University of Kentucky’s Gatton School of Business earning a B.S. degree in Accounting. His accounting background has not only been a great asset in advising self-employed clients, but also in creating and drafting tax-saving strategies for clients with a variety of backgrounds. In 2004, Marty traveled to Washington where he became the first Certified Mortgage Planner in Kentucky. Marty is a past VP of the Kentucky Association of Mortgage Professionals where he assisted in drafting regulations that increased transparency for consumers and he currently serves on the board of directors for the Christian Appalachian Project (CAP).

Marty and his wife Ragan have been married for 20 years and live in Lexington, Kentucky, with their four children. When Marty isn’t busy studying mortgage strategy or meeting with clients he enjoys spending time with his family. They are avid sports fans so if you can’t find them watching one of their own children competing in cheerleading, cross-country, golf, baseball or basketball, you might find them watching their beloved Wildcats in Rupp Arena or at Commonwealth Stadium.
